3: Word-based programmes
WordCore, WordPower and AQLS - designed for people with literacy skills
WordCore, standard in Vantage, Vanguard and Eco communication aids, comes in three configurations - with 45, 84 or 144 keys. The Liberator 14 versions shown below differ slightly to those in Vanguard and Vantage, but share the same basic principles: highest frequency 'core' words are accessed from the main page by a single key selection or 2-key sequence, with a spelling keyboard and word prediction for additional vocabulary - you can build sentences with the least number of key selections and effort, and use Quick Hits for fast access to personalised vocabulary.
For more information about how WordCore works, including examples from WordCore 45 and 84 for Vanguard and Vantage, please refer to the seperate WordCore tab.

WordPower, available as an extra-cost option with Vanguard, Vantage, Liberator and Pathfinder communication aids, is similar to WordCore in that it also uses whole word selection and a spelling keyboard with word prediction. It also aims to provide fast access to the highest frequency words, which are categorised, colour coded and alphabetized for easy access. Although WordPower does not use 'sequencing' to construct sentences, it does provide some pictorial support for certain words, which may be helpful to someone who is not fully literate.
The following screen images show the Vanguard and Vantage versions, which differ slightly to the new Liberator version. For more information about WordPower, please refer to the seperate WordPower tab.
